Kidz In The Hall - "Drivin' Down The Block" Video
This is hands down the best video I've seen all year. As lame and stupid as it first appears, it's hilarious. Well, at least I enjoyed it. The track is an absolute BANGER though! I've really gotta get a sub for the car.

The Beatnuts Concert, Melbourne 18/4/2008
Until the Beatnuts actually came on, I thought the show was very average. Jeru was a TERRIBLE performer. After every song, he stopped and simply talked shit for 5-10 minutes, sparking supreme boredom which leds to SEVERAL fights/punchups throughout the night.
BUT, when the Beatnuts came on, they torn it down. Great show, kept the crowd hype their whole set and were all they were hyped to be. Here's a few pictures and videos
"Let's Get Doe"
"No One's Ready"

Playaz Circle - Paper Chaser / We Workin' (Feat. Phonte)
Phontigallo gettin thing sangin on. Phonte dares I say looks kinda outta place in this video. I've had the song for a while but didn't really envision the video to look like this. I guess if you listen closely to the lyrics, it makes sense. meh
The Roots - "Birthday Girl"
Well here's the latest video for birthday girl. Again, The Roots don't appear in the video themselves. Read into it what you want. This song isn't gonna be on their new album "Rising Down".

?uestlove's Red Bull Session/Interview
If you were wondering where the uff the Cody Chesnutt post came from, I've spent the last three hours listening to ?uestlove's interview/session/class at the 2006 Red Bull Academy. The interview I think took place in early 2006, as it was before the release of "Game Theory" and he appears to address J Dilla's death.
The interview is extremely insightful if you're a fan or the Roots or ?uestlove's other works as well. The part about working with J Dilla and D'angelo are amazing.
You can either read it all or watch it here (WARNING: It does go for about 2 hours)
Glad to hear the Australia got a shout out (even if it was Perth).
I've already put my D'angelo "Voodoo" and Roots "Game Theory" back in my car.

Cody Chesnutt - "Look Good In Leather"
Good Music
And if you didn't know, he featured in The Roots "The Seed 2.0" which was a cover of one of Cody's original songs.

Electricity is pretty good
To state the obvious, I never really knew how much I am truly dependent on electricity til the recent power outages across Melbourne over the past week.
We lost power about 1pm Wednesday, and didn't get it back til 2am this morning (Friday).
Everyone in my house literally could do NOTHING. After I laid in bed listening to music for 3249348293 hours and ran the battery completely flat, I literally would keep going to sleep.
I know many could not work because of the outages, traffic was stupid and there have been some unfortunate incidents where lives have been lost, but it got me thinking that we surely have to be better prepared for storms/winds like we've had over the past week. How can so many people be going with power? Makes you wonder

Bump it in ya trunk/backpack.....lol
Designer Joonas Saaranen has created the Reppo II - an urban hardshell backpack with built-in speakers.
I've been looking for a new backpack, so I might just wait it out for this.
I know a lot of people probably find this really really corny, but think about it. You'd have a stereo with you where ever you go! Just plug in the ipod/phone whatever, and away you go
Simply hot fire.
